Ismail Wisham

LL.B (Hons), M.CL (IIUM)

Wisham read for his Bachelors (LL.B Hon., 2009) and Masters (Comparative Law, 2010) at the International Islamic University. He has also been an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACIArb, UK) since 2011. Wisham commenced private practice with premier law firm Suood & Anwar, where he undertook assignments on advise and litigation for corporate and commercial clients, both local as well as for foreign parties. In 2014 he left the practice to serve a brief stint in public service where he was engaged in legislative drafting, strategic communications and research for the Attorney Generals Office. Wisham founded the firm in 2016 to return to private practice and is currently involved in corporate and commercial practice as well as civil litigation. Wisham also works part time teaching undergraduate business law. His publications include books on penology, Islamic finance and employment law, as well as peer reviewed articles in journals all over the world on banking, constitutional law and jurisprudence.
